Even when the pandemic threat dissipates, employees are likely to demand a work-from-home (WFH) option, or at least the availability of a hybrid approach. Thus, it is important for leaders and decision-makers to take the long view, and to develop mature strategies for the WFH workforce that will hold up over time.
All employers owe a Duty of Care to their employees, regardless of where they work. That duty extends to mental injuries, including work-related stress. Finding a balance between employee wellness and productivity is critical to sustaining a work-from-home workforce.
