Steven M. Crimando is an internationally-recognized expert in crisis management and emergency response. He a Certified Threat Manager, a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress (BCETS), and a Certified Master Trainer with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security National Threat Evaluation and Reporting (NTER) program.

He is the Principal and founder of Behavioral Science Applications, a specialized crisis intervention consultancy and has more than 30 years’ experience in pre-hospital, hospital and behavioral healthcare.

Steve has published many professional articles and several textbook chapters on violence prevention and serves as an expert to the media and the courts on workplace violence and active assailant intervention. He has provided high-level violence prevention and active assailant response training programs to professional and academic audiences in business, intelligence, military, and first responder organizations.
