Protecting Frontline Teams: Personal Safety in a Changing Regulatory Landscape

Employee safety requirements are changing. Is your organization ready?

Retail and hospitality organizations are under increasing pressure to protect employees from harassment, workplace violence, isolatedwork risks, and other emergencies—while new state requirements are raising expectations for how employers prepare for and respond to those threats. New York’s Retail Worker Safety Act, for example, will require covered large retail employers to provide silent response buttons beginning January 1, 2027, while Washington has established panic-button requirements for qualifying isolated employees at covered organizations.

In this webinar, Everbridge’s Sean McDevitt, Director of Product Marketing, and Justin McLeod, Principal Product Manager, will discuss what these trends mean for retail and hospitality leaders and how to build an employee safety program that works across stores, hotels, back-of-house environments, local delivery, and other frontline settings.

Discover how purpose-built Personal Safety Devices can give employees a simple, discreet way to call for help, provide responders with critical location information, and connect employee activations to a coordinated response. Everbridge’s current materials position PSD as a standalone safety option that can extend into broader Everbridge 360™ workflows and optional professional monitoring
