Keeping Campus Moving: A Modern Approach to Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP)

When a disruption affects a college or university, students, faculty, and staff need clear information, reliable support, and continued access to essential services. This webinar will show how BC in the Cloud helps institutions organize continuity of operations plans (COOP) in one accessible platform. By connecting plans across academic departments, research programs, student services, facilities, and administrative offices, institutions can respond more effectively and reduce interruptions to teaching, learning, research, and campus life.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Bring continuity of operations plans together so faculty and staff can quickly find accurate, current information.

  • Identify essential functions and understand the dependencies among people, facilities, technology, and external partners to better assess operational impact.

  • Use structured workflows and reporting to maintain plans, clarify responsibilities, and strengthen campus-wide coordination.

  • Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned from exercises and real-world disruptions, updating plans, and demonstrating preparedness.

  • Improve communications and coordination during disruptions, helping the right people access the right information when timely decisions matter.
