The speakers

Matt Hovsepian, Senior Program Manager, Amazon Logistics

Matt Hovsepian is the Senior Program Manager for Amazon Logistics. He is responsible for Amazon’s Contingency Response Center which supports its transporter networks. Matt helped build the system that alerts the team to real time on-road hazards within Amazon's extensive delivery area network. Prior to joining Amazon, Matt served in the US Army for 11 years as a Military Police Officer. This experience perfectly positioned him to transition into Amazon with responsibility for risk, safety, crisis management, and resiliency. Matt utilizes Everbridge as the 24/7 monitoring platform for safety events and network impacting disruption.

Kelly Williamson, GSOC Lead, Whole Foods Market

Kelly Williamson is the GSOC Lead for Whole Foods Market, a multinational supermarket chain headquartered in Austin Texas. Kelly has responsibility for all respond to life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and for liaising with all emergency services during a critical event. After a data center outage at Whole Foods in 2021, Kelly developed an enterprise-wide crisis management program for Whole Foods Market to communicate, respond to, and support emergencies across the company.

Brian Toolan, Vice President of Public Safety

Brian Toolan serves as the Vice President for Global Public Safety with Everbridge, Inc. In his role, Brian has responsibility over the public and employee safety strategy as well as emerging technology solutions. Brian served as the Technical Account Manager over the Statewide deployment in Florida & New York State. Brian is a subject matter expert in Public Warning, emergency communications, threat, and risk intelligence as well as employee and executive protection. Before Everbridge, Brian served a 25-year career in public Safety for the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Safety. Achieving the position of Operations Chief, Brian’s responsibilities included statewide emergency and disaster response.
