With three-out-of-four hospitals using at least a basic EHR or EMR system, it is clear that paper medical records will soon become a part of the past. Unfortunately, as with all technology, there are failures, and when an EHR or EMR system fails, there can be significant fallout.

Join us on Thursday, April 7th at 2 PM (ET)/11 AM (PT) for The True Cost of EMR Downtime presented by Trisha Swift, DNP, RN, CPHQ, CPPS, Managing Partner of MeritLinkx Healthcare Consulting. In this webinar, Swift will cover the transition in the healthcare industry to patient centered care model that requires hospitals to be high reliability organizations, especially when it comes to the EMR or EHR system. She will also share a case study around unscheduled downtime for a large integrated healthcare system, which caused numerous issues with:

  • Communication
  • Admissions and patient lists
  • Sequenced lab orders
  • MAR documentation
